Youth Festival cum SVEEP campaign held in Tuensang Town

Tuensang: Festival features Millet Dish competition besides contests in photography, folk song

A vibrant Youth Festival took place at the Town Hall in Tuensang on Monday with Thungchanbemo Tungoe, ADC Tuensang, as the Keynote Speaker, reported the DIPR. The festival was jointly organized by the District Administration Tuensang, District Sports Office Tuensang, and Chang Wedoshe Steshang (CWS) as part of the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Campaign.

Addressing the gathering, Thungchanbemo Tungoe, ADC Tuensang spoke on the significance of the Youth Festival in showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region. He urged students to take pride in their knowledge of the area’s traditions and culture.

Tungoe encouraged all eligible students who have reached the age of 18 to register themselves as voters and actively participate in clean elections. The Keynote Speaker also stressed on the importance of selecting dedicated and energetic candidates who can work for the welfare of the community.

The youth festival included various competitions and activities, such as photography, folk song performances, and a Millet Dish competition.

The event was chaired by Langasomba, VP of CWS, with Pongsu, President of CWS, providing the highlights of the festival that witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across Tuensang Town.
