The Department of Youth Resources and Sports (YRS), convened a meeting on November 10 at the DC’s Conference Hall, Chümoukedima, to discuss matters related to the upcoming Dr T Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship 2025-26.
The meeting, chaired by Director, Youth Resources and Sports Department, Kethosituo Sekhose focused on reviewing and finalizing preparations for the national-level championship. Convenors and co-convenors of the Organizing Committee and Functional Area Committees attended the meeting where all issues related to accommodation, security, reception and technical matters were deliberated.
Deputy Commissioner, Chumoukedima, Polan John said that it is a privilege and a challenge for the District administration to host a national level tournament in Chumoukedima and urged all the members involved to work together and ensure coordinated efforts among all stakeholders for the smooth and successful conduct of the championship. SDO(C), Chumoukedima, Chumbenthung Murry was chosen as the Nodal officer on behalf of the District administration.

Dr T Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship is one of the major national sporting events hosted by Nagaland. The tournament will be held at chumoukedima Football Stadium from 18th November to 11 December, 2025 where a total of 16 teams will be participating in the event. The meeting was attended by officials from Youth Resources and Sports Department, Nagaland Football Association, District Administration, DPRO Dimapur and other dignitaries.
