The Yuching Students’ Union, on Saturday, stated its condemnation of the brutal murder of late Hozheto Yeptho, an NST employee, on 24 August 2023 in Dimapur. It also urged law enforcing agencies to deliver justice at the earliest.

“Such, inhuman and barbaric act would not be tolerated in this civilized society,” YST said while also conveying its “heartfelt condolences” to the bereaved family and prayed for comfort and solace.

Late Yeptho was found lifeless with several injury marks at his workplace at ISBT, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on the morning of 24th August. In connection to the case, Dimapur Police arrested a man on 25th August identified as one Noknyei Konyak from Yuching Village under Mon district as the main suspect. The investigation is underway.

The Konyak Union and all its frontal organisations as well as Yuching Village Council had denounced the heinous crime and appealed for strictest punishment according to the law of the land.
