‘Yuva Utsav’ was organised at Yingli College, Longleng District on Friday by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Longleng, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in collaboration with the District Administration Longleng and Yingli College, Longleng, DIPR stated.
Special guest, SDO Civil, Longleng, Trongdiba Tongpi Sangtam, NCS in his address spoke on the importance of youths and their contributions to society and also highlighted the negative impacts of anti-social elements affecting the youths at this age. He also stressed on how the youths can be more productive by changing their priorities and skilling themselves and gave an insight into various schemes launched by the Government of India and Nagaland.
Kishor Barman, District Youth Officer NYKS, Longleng delivered the keynote address where he highlighted the main objectives of the programme under the theme “PANCH PRAN and India@2047” and also about the G20 Presidency and its theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth, One Family, One Future”.
Dr. Limasungla, epidemiologist, from Chief Medical Officer Office Longleng, and Dr. Vilie Medoze, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (VAS) Longleng were also present at the event. They highlighted statistics of various animals related diseases and diagnoses and ways and means to prevent them.
State Bank of India (SBI) Longleng and District AIDS Prevention Control Unit (DAPCU) displayed their respective stalls during the event.

The programme included various competitions like Poetry, Painting, Declamation, Photography, and Cultural presentation and the special guest gave away the prizes to the winners. The district-level winners will be given the opportunity to participate at the State and National levels, it was informed.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. B. Henshet Phom, Vice-Principal, Yingli College, Longleng.
