Zisela Rüdithongrü became the first winner of the Witness Music Conference (WMC) gospel solo competition at USBLA retreat Centre, Kiphire.

Zisela won a whopping cash prize of Rs 1,00,000. She will be recording her first gospel original album with a total of five songs from a professional studio. WMC will also assist her in the making of a professional music video with Kohdi Jings.

Kohdi is one of the best videographers from Nagaland. He was awarded best music video director from Nagaland in the year 2020 and Best music videographer 2021 for a famous song ‘Die A Legend’ featuring artist JPollan.

Arola Jinger was adjudged the 1st runner up and Vitila Sangtam was announced the 2nd runner up. They were awarded Rs 60,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively. Both will also get to record their songs and make music videos next year.

Arola Jinger will be recording two professional recordings and one professional Music Video, whereas Vitila Sangtam will be recording one professional studio recording assisted by the WMC team.

Zisela, who had done her masters from ICFAI Aizawl, when asked about her choice of genre in music said:

“I’m open to every genre of music but gospel has always been close to my heart because that is where I find solace and I wish to pursue my career as an artist further with my sole focus on gospel music, and as of now I don’t know how to go on to achieve that but as always, I’ll leave it to God for His guidance and whatever His will is, so will be hers”.

She expressed her joy on winning the competition and also expressed her gratitude to WMC for organising such a conference to guide youths to build a better relationship with God.
