The Zunheboto Range Students’ Union has on Thursday lauded Zunheboto Police’s operation against drugs. In a statement, the Union extended its support in subsiding and eradicating this menace and said that the Police force’s ‘War on Drugs’ has been ‘very successful’.
Expressing its concern for the excessive inflow of illegal drugs in the district, ZRSU stated that drugs is ‘a great threat to our society and is affecting the students’ Community in particular to a large extent resulting in the increased number of drop out Students.’

The Union also said that stern against should be taken against drug dealers and peddlers ‘irrespective of their status or position in the society’. It also declared that it is against any kind of ‘uncivilized threat and intimidation’ to the Police personnel while they are on the mission to nab those involved in the ‘menace’ prevailing in the society.
Further, ZRSU appealed to the public to support and cooperate with Zunheboto Police.
