Zunheboto: 14 teams from across the state will be participating in the volleyball tournament

The 44th Black Panthers Club Nagaland Open Volleyball Running Trophy began on Tuesday in Zunheboto town.

Sponsored by BPC Akuluto, the tournament was inaugurated by Advisor Kazheto Kinimi, NSDMA & CAWD.

In his speech, Kinimi encouraged all the teams to strive for excellence and to play with true sportsmanship, advising them not to be discouraged even if faced with a loss.

He also said the government was working to bring the Naga Solution at the earliest and encouraged the people and the stakeholders to be patient and keep praying for an earlier amicable solution.

The advisor was accompanied by ADC Akuluto, public leaders and his party members of 31 AC Akuluto.

14 teams have turned up from every corner across Nagaland for the volleyball tournament, which will take place from 4 to 7 October.

Last year’s winner of the Black Panthers Club Nagaland Open Volleyball Running Trophy held in Akuluto was KMT Khetoli Memorial Team Akuluto. The team have won the trophy for three consecutive years.

  • Bonafide Alaphumi won over Vision Quest VK
  • IMT Zaphumi won over HRCF
  • Lotisa New Students Union won over High Flyer Shichimi
  • Lakhuni Sparters won over United VK
