The 8th World Music Day celebration, Kohima will be held on 21 June at The Heritage, old DC Bungalow, Kohima, the organisers Musicians Guild Team informed during a press conference on Thursday.
MGT president Mele Pucho announced that the WMD event is a treat by the musicians to their fans and that they will be bringing the best artistes and bands to the stage on the day.
The artists line-up for the event are – Alobo Naga and the Band; Orange; Imli Akum Aier and the Electric Cool Kid; K L Pamei; Azo Rudy; Fifth Notes; The Gluttones; Wishes and Dreams; Renbeni Odyuo and Band; and LC Sekhose.

The 8th World Music Day program was initiated by Symphony Music Academy and will be organised by Musicians Guild Team in collaboration with Audio Garage, Life Pro Productions, San Production, Toso Powerline, HDM, Metal gear and Shiu Lights.
MGT also briefed the media that WMD 2023 will also feature a 1 vs 1 Open Style Dance Battle “BATTLE OF BEST” which will be conducted before the concert at around 3:00 pm.
Pucho, Mengu Suokhrie, Sanen Kichu and Kevisa Khamo also mentioned that the event will be a family-friendly and therefore invited all music enthusiasts to attend with their families.
They had also added that there will be food stalls and invited interested persons to contact them for business opportunities.
