The 15th National Voters’ Day 2025 was celebrated at DC Conference Hall, Noklak on 25th January 2025 under the theme “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure”.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Noklak, Arikumba emphasized the importance to educate and spread awareness about electoral process among friends and students. He also highlighted about the enrolment process and encouraged all eligible voters to be responsible citizens by casting their votes for capable leaders who can lead and work for the people.
Further, he urged the youth to exercise their entitlement wisely and to prioritise casting their votes.
The DC also congratulated the winners of the Essay Competition, the Best BLO awardee and all the newly enrolled young voters.
EAC & AEO in-charge Noklak, Menlom Phom, in his keynote, stressed on the importance of voting as a fundamental right granted to all the Indian citizens irrespective of cast, race and colour above the age of 18. He emphasised the need to understand one’s voting rights stating that having voting rights is a privilege at the same time a responsibility therefore he urged every young responsible voter to elect their representatives and exercise their rights wisely.
During the occasion, Best BLO Award 2025 from 56AC Noklak was awarded to Bengdangjongshi, PT GPS Chendang Saddle BLO of part no. 14 Chendang Saddle and from 57AC Thanoknyu was awarded to S. Pesha, PT GPS, Thonoknyu Village BLO of part no. 14 Thonoknyu Village.
In Essay Competition, 1st position goes to Yamthong Y, Class 11 of GHSS Noklak, 2nd position goes to Niakting M, Class 10 of St. Paul School, Noklak and 3rd position goes to Chapon Y, Class 10 of Christian High School, Noklak.
Earlier, the program was chaired by EAC Noklak Apuloka H Sema and Voters Pledge was administered by SDO (Civil) Noklak Vikhoko Richa.
