A total of 24,178 electors has been listed as “Uncollectable” in the six Assembly Constituencies of Kohima district following the publication of the Draft Electoral Roll under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) on September 20, 2026.

According to a notice issued by the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Kohima, B Henok Buchem, the Draft Electoral Roll was prepared based on the Enumeration Forms (EFs) collected by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from all polling stations.

The list of electors whose Enumeration Forms could not be collected was prepared at all polling stations following meetings between BLOs, Booth Level Agents (BLAs) of political parties and other stakeholders. The uncollectable cases have been categorised under five reasons – death, permanently shifted, untraceable/absent, already enrolled, and refusal to sign or submit the Enumeration Form.

Kohima Town Assembly Constituency recorded the highest number of uncollectable cases at 11,622, Northern Angami-I recorded 4,057, followed by Northern Angami-II with 3,196 and Western Angami with 2,966. Southern Angami-I recorded 1,220 cases, while Southern Angami-II recorded 870 cases.

Across the six constituencies, 3,324 electors were listed under death, 12,521 as permanently shifted, 6,712 as untraceable/absent, 751 as already enrolled and 870 for refusing to sign or submit the Enumeration Form.

The notice stated that any aggrieved person may seek redressal before the concerned ERO on or before October 20, 2026.
