The 4th edition of the Nagaland Futsal Club Championship (NFCC) is set to commence on 20 March 2025, at the Futsal Centre, Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence, Sovima, Chümoukedima. Organized by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA), seven teams from across Nagaland will conpete for the premier futsal trophy. The state champion will earn the opportunity to represent Nagaland at the AIFF Futsal Club Championship.
The opening ceremony will be graced by L. Shahoto Yimchunger, Joint Secretary of the NFA and Tournament Secretary of NFCC, who will serve as the Chairperson of the opening program. The Chief Guest for the ceremony will be H. Tovihoto Ayemi, Advisor for Tribal Affairs and Election, Government of Nagaland.
Launched in 2021, the NFCC has rapidly established itself as a premier futsal competition, providing players with the opportunity to showcase their skills at the highest level within the state, a press release from Nagaland Super League stated. With each edition, the tournament has grown in stature and competitiveness, with Nagaland’s futsal teams steadily gaining recognition on the national stage. This year’s edition promises to be a landmark event in Nagaland’s futsal history, bringing together the state’s finest talent to compete for the coveted title.
Participating Teams:
- Nyenshen FC (Tuensang) – A powerhouse with a rich legacy in football and futsal, Nyenshen FC continues to build on its success, having earned a spot in the 2024 AIFF Futsal Club Championship.
- Vanguard FC (Tseminyu) – Celebrating 10 years of football excellence, Vanguard FC has become a dominant force in Nagaland, with consistent performances in futsal tournaments and a strong youth development program.
- Chümoukedima Sporting Club (Chümoukedima) – A rising force in both football and futsal, this club has quickly become a competitive contender in Nagaland’s futsal scene.
- Proper V FC (Dimapur) – A club built on passion and grassroots development, Proper V aims to make a lasting impact on Nagaland’s futsal scene through dedication and commitment.
- Aphuyemi FC (Zunheboto) – A community-driven club that has made significant strides in promoting football and futsal talent from the Zunheboto District.
- Zasivi FC (Kohima) – Known for its emphasis on youth development, Zasivi FC continues to thrive in futsal tournaments, marking itself as a key player in the region.
- Lengreng FC (Peren) – A team dedicated to developing football talent in the Peren District, Lengreng FC has made a name for itself with strong performances in both football and futsal competitions.
