The 54th edition of the Japukong Kaketshir Telungjem Mungdang (JKTM) is set to be held from January 15 to 17 at Khar Village, Mokokchung, under the theme “Tayimjem Libaliyim” (Encompassing Ethical Values).
The Organizing Committee informed in a press release that Temjenmenba, Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, would grace the inaugural ceremony as the Inaugural Guest, while Metsübo Jamir, Minister for Rural Development and SIRD, would attend as the Valedictory Guest.
Further, the sports competitions would be inaugurated by B. Asangla, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Mokokchung, on 16 January. Meanwhile, the cultural competition will be inaugurated by Taliremba, Principal Secretary, on 17 January, the committee stated.
During the conference, Mangkolemba ADC Moakümzük, AKM President Lanutoshi Aier, and Jangpetkong Senso Mungdang President Purtoshi will deliver greetings and exhortations, it added.
To elaborate on the theme “Tayimjem Libaliyim,” Prof. Dr. Asangla Lemtur, Head of the Theology & Ethics Department at Caleb Institute, Gurgaon, will deliver a keynote address, guiding the attendees through significant ethical topics.
The organizing committee, led by Putu Yimsüsür and the citizens of Khar, has conveyed its preparedness to host approximately 500 delegates, ensuring food and lodging for all. Additional guests will also be accommodated, it said. Furthermore, it added that Nemchaba Jamir, Convenor of the Planning Committee, and the entire community of Khar Village are working diligently to ensure the success of the conference.
During the closing ceremony, Chungliyimsen Kaketshir Telungjem will present a visionary preview of the 55th edition of the Jangpetkong Kaketshir Telungjem.
