63rd Students’ Session of Seyochung Village Students’ Union held

The 63rd Students’ Session of the Seyochung Village Students’ Union was celebrated on December 28, 2024 at Seyochung, with Pilongla S. Sangtam, the first woman president of the union, gracing the event.

In the welcome address, Longtili C. Sangtam, Vice President of the union, expressed gratitude to the Ex-officio members and guests for joining the celebration. He emphasized the hope that the occasion would inspire growth in business, sports, music, culture, academics, and competitive exams, contributing to the overall development of the village.

Pilongla S. Sangtam, in her speech, encouraged students to embrace their identity and roots. She thanked parents for their dedication to nurturing students despite challenges and urged students to see challenges as opportunities for growth.

She also expressed gratitude to the people of Seyochung for supporting women in leadership roles and called for more opportunities to be provided irrespective of gender.

Lichothri, Village Council Chairman, delivered a short speech, urging students to aim for competitive exams beyond the state level and to respect each other in all aspects of life.

Henzi, Executive Chairman of Seyochung Citizens, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing that the students represent the future of Seyochung. He conveyed his blessings and hopes for their success.
