The 6th Winter Carnival Cum Orchid Festival Open Volleyball Tournament 2023 began on December 8 at Carvival Village, Tepuiki Peren District. The inaugural was graced by Jacob Yanthan, President Nagaland Volleyball Association as the Special Guest.
Addressing the gathering, Jacob Yanthan encouraged the participants to showcase their true sportsmanship and discipline. Yanthan also expressed that among all games volleyball is a second disciple where teamwork played an important role in their victory. The Special Guest lauded the Peren District Volleyball Association for organising the events.
During the programme, the presidential address was delivered by Kirangbe, President, PDVA and Imapie Siarau Asst. Technical Secy admistered the oathtaking of the tournament.
13 teams will be participating in the four day tournament in the open volleyball Tournament organise by the PDVA. Earlier, the special guest hoisted the flag and declared the 6th Edition Open Volleyball Tournament 2023 open. An Exhibition match between P2BOD’s and Team One was also held before the tournament began.

The Champion of the tournament will receive cash prize along with certificates and Trophy.
The invocation was pronounced by Dr.Rangro Herie, Education Secy ZBCC, while a traditional melody was presented by Mpaklak.The programme was comprered by Adaube Mpom.
