7457 Government employees and pensioners have benefited CMHIS scheme

Chümoukedima: Over 1.5 lakh families have enrolled for CM Life Insurance Scheme

The Nagaland Government has informed that since the launch of the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) in October 2022, 7,457 government employees and pensioners have benefited from the Scheme with 22,187 treatments undertaken, out of which, claims have been paid for 17,162 treatment cases worth 62 crore.

This was highlighted at the Nagaland Credit Empowerment Summit held on 20th September 2024 at Noune Resort, Chümoukedima.

The Government also said that the CMHIS continues to offer extensive health benefits, improving access to quality healthcare and ensuring that residents have the support they need during health crises. The Scheme is a step towards fulfilling The Nagaland Sustainable Development Goal Vision 2030, which states that “by 2030, Nagaland will ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages by providing equitable, affordable and quality healthcare services to the people of the state”, it stated.

The Government informed that there are 51 empanelled hospitals within the State and 64 outside the State.

On the Chief Minister’s Life Insurance Scheme (CMLIS) which was launched on 15th August 2024, the Government informed that over 1.5 lakh families have enrolled and more beneficiaries are expected to enrol. The scheme provides 2 Lakh life insurance for bread winner of a family and 2 lakh each accidental insurance coverage for breadwinner and three dependents.
