The 9th Poshan Maah 2026 was successfully concluded at the CDPO Office, Longleng ICDS, on October 8 on the theme “Hamari Anganwadi, Hamari Jimmedari – Our Anganwadi, Our Responsibility.”

The programme was chaired by Senior Supervisor, Amos Khing, while the keynote address was delivered by DPO Social Welfare Longleng, S Yesumong Sangtam, who highlighted the importance of community participation and collective responsibility in strengthening Anganwadi Centres and improving nutrition and early childhood care.

A report on the activities conducted during Poshan Maah 2026 was presented by Block Coordinator Longleng, Shingli Phom. The report highlighted various awareness and community-based activities undertaken during the month, focusing on nutrition, health, early childhood care and education, and active involvement of the community in Anganwadi services.

The closing programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Senior Supervisor, Ketholenuo.

The closing ceremony reaffirmed the importance of collective ownership of Anganwadi Centres and encouraged all stakeholders, particularly Anganwadi Workers, families and the community to work together towards ensuring better nutrition, health and holistic development of children and mothers.
