Zisaji Presidency College hosts District Youth Parliament

The District-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament was hosted at Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire on February 25. The programme was organized by the NSS Unit of ZPC under the theme, “50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy.”

Rozy Sangtam, SDO (Civil) Kiphire graced the inaugural ceremony and conducted lamp lighting, informed a press release. Dr. Phyobenthung, Principal ZPC gave the keynote addressed where he encouraged critical thinking among citizens, especially the youth. He urged the youth to learn from past experiences and work collectively towards a more inclusive and democratic future.

The programme was led M. Leiwang Konyak PO NSS Unit ZPC, while the welcome address was delivered by Dr. Purna Chandra Mishra, Vice Principal ZPC and the closing remark by Gagan Chandra Mishra, Associate Professor ZPC.

The participants actively engaged in delivering speeches on the theme, reflecting on democratic values and historical lessons. The winners will be representing the district at the State Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament.
