ATMA Kiphire, Khongsa block successfully conducted capacity building Training-cum-demonstration on agri and allied sector with the utilization of newly introduced geo-tagging feature through the Krishi Mapper App.
The initiative is part of a broader mission to digitize and collect data on farmland where crop demonstrations are carried out for farmers in Nagaland.
The training focused on “Natural Farming”, while the demonstration highlighted vegetable cultivation practices.
The programme was chaired by BTM Mhonreni Odyuo and ATM Takutoshi Jamir, with former BTT Convenor Yamuki serving as the resource person.

During the session, the resource person stressed the importance of preserving indigenous seeds, improving traditional farming methods, reducing chemical usage, and promoting the application of bio-fertilizers and organic pest control measures.
Additionally, Farm School, Food Security Group (FSG), and Seed Money (SM) initiatives were launched during the programme. The training covered Salomi Village, Khongsa HQ, and Penkim Village from February 24 to 26, 2025.
