Seyochung Village in Kiphire district has received a generous donation of books from Nagaland Police under the Social Assistance Programme.

Expressing gratitude and appreciation for the donation, the Seyochung Village Students’ Union said that the donation would promote reading habits, support academic growth and encourage young people to focus on education and constructive activities.

It may be mentioned that former president of Seyochung Village Students’ Union had formally submitted a memorandum to Disani Newmai, Additional SP, Kiphire, addressed to Director General of Nagaland on December 29, 2025 seeking support under the Social Assistance Programme for integration of a digital library into the existing village library at Seyochung Village.

The proposal highlighted the need to upgrade and modernize the village library by adding new books and introducing digital learning materials such as computers and e-learning resources. The aim was to improve access to quality education for students and youth in the remote area of Kiphire District.

The Union expressed hope for continued support in the future.
