Vizachü Peli of Tsiituonuomia Khel, Kohima village celebrated their Silver Jubilee on March 4 at Rutsa(Bypass).
Chairman, T Khel Council, Kohima Village, K Neibou Sekhose in his speech stated that while a silver jubilee may not seem very long, it does not feel short either. He remarked that celebrating 25 years is a significant milestone and a time to reflect on how the clan came together many years ago, cherishing the memories of the good times shared.
Describing it as one of the many cherished Peli among the Nagas, he cautioned that such occasions also come with temptations, especially when one feels at their strongest and most influential. He applauded the Vizachii for their commendable work and valuable contributions to society.
He observed that in today’s world, good deeds often go unappreciated, but emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and focusing on the brighter side of life. Calling them the pride of the community, he encouraged them to continue their good work and go the extra mile to become better than they were yesterday.
He further challenged them to work harder and grow stronger. Advising them to put God first and live according to His word, he said that success and light would naturally follow. He asserted that everything begins within the family, and that the foundation of a good child is built at home. He therefore urged everyone to prioritize their families, strive to be responsible family men and women, and remember that a good society is rooted in strong and healthy families.
