The All Sümi Students’ Union (SKK) has directed all concerned Heads of Departments and government employees serving in Sümi-inhabited areas to immediately report to and remain at their respective postings, stressing the need for proper execution of official duties.
In a press release issued after convening its first Executive Meeting, the union stated that holding public office is a responsibility that must be carried out with integrity, dedication, and a genuine sense of duty.
It noted that the absence of officers and staff from their workplaces without valid justification disrupts essential services, delays administrative processes, and hampers developmental progress.
The union cautioned that non-compliance would invite strict public scrutiny and that such matters would be escalated to appropriate higher authorities for necessary disciplinary action.
To ensure accountability, the union also informed that it will conduct regular as well as surprise inspections of government offices in Sümi-inhabited areas. Findings from these inspections will be formally documented and made public, while detailed reports will be submitted to competent authorities along with recommendations for action against those found absent without valid reasons or failing to fulfill their responsibilities.

It added that government employees serving in the region must perform their responsibilities diligently at their designated postings, emphasizing that effective governance requires accountability, transparency, and the proper functioning of government institutions.
