Census Phase II Training Begins in Nagaland

A three-day training programme for officials of the Directorate of Census Operations, Nagaland, for Population Enumeration under Census 2027 commenced today.

The training is being conducted by National Trainers Shri Mhathung Rangthang and Shri Vaibhav Sharma, who are serving as resource persons for the programme.

Speaking at the commencement of the training, Shri Imkongnungsang, Deputy Director, DCO Nagaland, said that the training marks the beginning of preparations for Phase II of Census 2027 in Nagaland. He further informed that more than 6,500 officials will be trained over the next two months as part of the preparations for Population Enumeration.

During the sessions, Shri Mhathung Rangthang delivered a detailed presentation on the technical concepts, as well as the functioning and operations of the Census portal and mobile application. Shri Vaibhav Sharma conducted sessions on the Census schedules and important terminologies related to Population Enumeration.

The training will continue for two more days. Following the completion of the programme, the trained officials will be deputed to the districts during the month of October to conduct training for officials at the district level.

A total of 35 officials of the Directorate of Census Operations, Nagaland, are participating in the training programme.
