Training on basic steel fabrication held at Meluri

The Department of Employment Skill Development & Entrepreneurship conducted Training on Basic steel Fabrication, at Town Hall, Meluri on March 16.

Deputy Commissioner, Meluri, Mhathung Tsanglao, who attended the program as the guest speaker encouraged the youths to avail opportunity in the form of skill development provided by the government, and said the scenario of the present Government is not in the position to give employment to all educated youths.

He, therefore, asserted that opportunities such as these should be taken with vigour and enthusiasm. “Once we are properly trained and skill in any profession, we help ourselves by becoming self-reliant and independent. Our livelihood becomes at ease. In doing so we not only help ourselves but also help build the society,” he added.

Earlier, brief overview of the training on Providing Access to core employability Skills (paces) was highlighted by Tenempong Longchar from Zynirique Initiative Society.

A total of 25 trainees registered and attended the meeting. DEO Phek, Kulo Kezo chaired the  programme.
