Officers’ Club Mon (OCM) organized the 12th Inter Departmental Tournament 2026 at Officers’ Club Mon & Neilkeak Futsal, Tammong. The Tournament commenced from March 19 and will conclude on March 21. Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak, NCS, graced the opening ceremony as a special guest.

Addressing the people, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the tournament is not about winning but it is about connecting. Events like this help strengthen bonds in friendship, give us an opportunity to interact, and know each other better. He also said that sports and recreation play a vital role in our professional and personal lives. In our daily routine of official duties and public service responsibilities, we often forget the importance of relaxation and mental refreshment.

He therefore encouraged the young officials to actively involve in club’s activities and make use of the facilities provided by the club. Later he declared the Tournament Open.

Administering an oath to the players was led by ADC Mon, Pakon Phom, NCS, and the programme was chaired by Manyei Kuhmeishu N, Asst. Professor, Wangkhao Govt. College. Invocation was pronounced by Pumin Konyak, Associate Pastor, Chingai Fellowship. Welcome address was delivered by T. Yanlem DWO, Mon, and a Special Number was presented by H. Samuel Konyak, while Mary & Friends entertained the gathering with a special performance.
