LS MP Supongmeren meets Union Home Minister Amit Shah

Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland, Supongmeren Jamir called on Union Home Minister, Amit Shah at his office on March 25.

During the meeting, they held fruitful deliberations on the urgent need for an early and inclusive political settlement to the long-pending Naga political issue. The discussions emphasized the aspirations and sentiments of the Naga people and the importance of a peaceful and honorable solution.

The MP also raised concerns regarding the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and urged the Ministry to carefully consider the views and demands of the Naga people, particularly in safeguarding the interests of communities living along the border areas of Nagaland.

Further, matters concerning the development and upgradation of village guards were also discussed.

Jamir expressed hope for constructive action and reaffirmed his commitment to continue advocating for the rights and welfare of the Naga people.
