Workshop on Viksit Nagaland@2047 held at Mon and Peren

The Government of Nagaland & District Administration Mon organised a District Consultation Workshop on Viksit Nagaland @2047 with Heads of Officers & Stakeholders of Mon District on April 20 at DC’s Conference Hall, Mon. Sector Experts, from Nagaland Institute of Transformation under Planning & Transformation Department, Nyanthung Y Humtseo, Badikol Varsha Prabhakar and Shweta Yayant Shinde were the moderators of the workshop.

For effective coordination among the departments on priority themes, and to prepare comprehensive presentations, five  thematic groups were constituted- Economic Development, Social Development, Environmental Sustainability, Infrastructure Development, Governance and Institutional Strengthening.  The groups discussed and presented the challenges and put forward their strategies.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Pakon Phom, while welcoming the members said that the government of India had launched Viksit Bharat in the vision to transform the nation into a developed prosperous entity by 2047 marking 100 years of independence.  It aims for comprehensive growth across economic, social, environmental, and governance sectors focusing on high quality of life, infrastructure, and sustainability.  He also urged the members to actively participate and learn and work for the development of our nation.

Peren:

The Peren district stakeholders’ Consultative workshop for VIKSIT Nagaland 2047 Vision Document was held on April 20 at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren.

Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru welcomed all the stakeholders for their kin interest and coming forward. Hiazu Meru stated that VIKSIT Bharat 2047 is the Government of India’s ambitious Vision to transform the nation into fully developed, prosperous and self-reliant country by 2047.

He stated that this will also mark 100 years of Independence for the economic growth into modern infrastructure development, social empowerment and self-sustainability.

The DC also said that the Consultative Workshop for VIKSIT Nagaland is the aspirations to be recognised as a developed nation with significant milestone. The initiative represents the Government of India’s ambitious vision to transform India into a developed country by 2047.

The group was organised and divided into five thematic groups and discussed the strategies prioritising growth of marginalized and remote populations of the district were addressed. Each breakout group presented a summary of their inputs and their recommend policy on what they have discussed.

A brief PowerPoint presentation was presented by the district line department on the five SWG Pillars: Economic, Social, Environment, Infrastructure and Governance.
