The BJP Mahila Morcha, Nagaland successfully organized the Mahila Jan Aakrosh Padyatra (Torch March) to raise a strong and united voice on issues concerning women’s rights, dignity, and equal representation today at Dimapur.
With the theme “Her Seat, Her Right, Her Time,” the programme underscored the demand for greater inclusion of women in governance and public life.
The Torch march was set off by Sanuo Ngullie, BJP State Executive Member. Her presence and leadership added momentum to the initiative and inspired participants to stand united for women’s rights and empowerment.
On the occasion, the State President of BJP Mahila Morcha, Tsachola Rothrong, emphasized that women’s reservation is not a matter of charity but a rightful claim. She urged women across Nagaland to raise their voices, participate actively in the democratic process, and work collectively to ensure their rightful place in decision-making bodies.

State leaders and members of the BJP Mahila Morcha, along with supporters, actively participated in the padyatra, expressing solidarity and commitment towards strengthening women’s voices in society.
The programme served as a platform to promote awareness, unity, and collective action for the advancement of women in Nagaland.
