Nagaland’s Lenti Aier receives prestigious SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence 2026

Lenti Aier from Nagaland received The State University of New York (SUNY), Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence 2026 on April 27 held at Albany Capital Center, New York in recognition of Outstanding Academic Achievement and Contributions to the University Community.

This award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a student by the University across 64 colleges and universities combined in New York State.

This award recognizes SUNY students who have successfully incorporated SUNY excellence into various aspects of their lives, including academics; leadership; diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice; research & development; campus involvement; civics & service, and the arts (creative or performing), ability to lead, give back to their campus community, and harness their creativity that makes us a role model for our peers and our campus.

Lenti Aier is a student at Empire State University, Saratoga Springs, New York. She will graduate on the May 20 with a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis with a 4.0 GPA and a candidate for Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA) and New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA).

She has previously worked with Devereux Foundation, New York as an Assistant Program Manager. The Foundation provides comprehensive services for individuals with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and emotional/behavioral differences across the US Programs include, but are not limited to, residential treatment, day schools, and community-based care.

Closer home, Lenti Aier is the Founder & President of Act Of Kindness Society, Dimapur, Nagaland.
