Additional Secretary, H&TE visits FAC

Additional Secretary, Higher and Technical Education, Sentiyanger Pongen, accompanied by Er Nuhuta Tetseo, SDO, Engineering Wing, HE, visited Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung on May 15 as part of the inspection of PM-USHA Projects of Government Colleges in Nagaland.

A brief interactive session was arranged with the teaching and non-teaching faculty of the college at the conference hall.

Dr I Wati Imchen, Principal FAC, on the occasion highlighted the issues and challenges of the college which demand more resources, man power and responsibilities under NEP 2020. He requested the Department to consider a roadmap of NEP 2020 at the state level as it necessitates systematic changes to meet its requirement, and appealed to look into the institutional requirements so as to meaningfully and efficiently contribute to the academic field and the society in general. The teaching faculty also highlighted their grievances and concerns.

Sentiyanger Pongen assured to look into matters pertaining to the needs of the institution which was also the common concerns of government colleges across Nagaland. He encouraged the faculty to come forth with their advices and suggestions for the betterment of not only the institution but the Department in general.

The interactive session with the Additional Secretary was an encouragement to the college which also displays his interest in uplifting Higher Education in the state.
