S Phangnon Konyak, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Nagaland, attended Day One of the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum 2026 in New Delhi. The Forum was inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla.

The Forum brings together parliamentary delegations from 21 countries, comprising 11 BRICS member countries and 10 partner countries, under the theme “Fostering Parliaments for People-Centric Development.”

Following the inaugural session, Konyak participated in the second plenary session on Innovation, themed “Harnessing Parliaments for Promoting Human-Centric Innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies.”

The session focused on the role of parliaments in promoting human-centric innovation and advancing the responsible application of emerging technologies through parliamentary cooperation.
