The Manipur Prayer Crusade 2026 culminated on May 17 after a four-day programme held from May 14 to 17 at Local Ground, Tadubi, Manipur on the theme, “…Do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children” (Luke 23:28b).

The crusade was hosted by NCRC PR Hill, Kohima Prayer Centre for Nagaland in collaboration with Koinonia Baptist Church, Kohima.

According to an update from the organisers, the speakers for the crusade were Rev Dr Zotuo Kiewhuo, Founder and Senior Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church and Principal of Kohima Bible College (KBC), and Pastor Ade Sophie.

The Sunday morning devotional programme was led by Rokopra H Mekro, Pastor, Koinonia Prayer Centre, Tsiesema Basa, with Rev. Dr. Zotuo Kiewhuo as the speaker.

In his sermon, Rev Kiewhuo warned against worshipping gods other than Jesus Christ and called for urgency in repentance and seeking God, adding that no one can buy time and that there is a season for everything.

Pointing out that the times are evil, he emphasised that believers are legitimate sons and daughters of Jesus Christ and urged them to secure their heavenly citizenship in Christ.

He stated that there are three kingdoms — Political Kingdom, Demonic Kingdom and Kingdom of God — while dwelling on the theme where Jesus told the women, “…Do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children” (Luke 23:28b).

The speaker asserted the need for kingdom builders for Jesus Christ and said that to do so, one must be rooted in the Word of God.

Rev Kiewhuo referred to Luke 21, which talks about the last days and warns that kingdom will rise against kingdom and nation against nation. He also spoke about the ongoing conflict and violence in Manipur among different communities, stating that the Bible warns about such occurrences in the last days, along with increasing natural calamities.

He further stated that the Bible warns about the proliferation of false prophets in the last days, while also referring to Matthew 24, which warns that people will go through hard times.

Emphasizing that the Bible teaches mankind that they cannot serve two masters, he implored the people to first seek the Kingdom of God, adding that Christ should dwell in their hearts. At the same time, he warned against greed for riches at the cost of losing souls.

Rev Kiewhuo also stressed the need for progressive sanctification aligned with godly ways and doing what is right and good in the sight of God.

Highlights of the programme included invocation prayer by Pastor Atou Thapo; scripture reading by Pastor Athou Makhan; offering and offertory prayer by Pastor H Kadah; and a testimony shared by Lanu Aier. Special presentations were made by Merina, Nagamese Women’s Fellowship (Koinonia Baptist Church), Ato Nienu, Dr Komuni (Senapati), and Doibila & Co. Naga Taphou CRC.

The praise and worship teams for the crusade were Koinonia Baptist Church and Kainos Worship Team.
