Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan programme launched at Shamator

The launching programme of “Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan” under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, was held at Shamator District under the aegis of the District Administration, Shamator. The campaign is being observed from May 18 to 25 across the district and the programme was attended by various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Heads of Departments (HODs), officials, and stakeholders of Shamator District.

During the programme, Chubatemjen NCS, Deputy Commissioner of Shamator highlighted the significance and objective of the campaign, stating that the initiative of the Government of India is aimed at extending government services and welfare schemes to the remotest and innermost parts of the district. He emphasized that the district administration has consistently undertaken people-centric initiatives over the past years, which have yielded positive outcomes across Shamator District.

The Deputy Commissioner further stated that, in a phased manner, most of the villages and circles under the district have already been covered through the “Government initiatives to their Doorstep” during the past year. Through these outreach programmes, several government services and welfare activities have been successfully delivered directly to the people.

The services and activities conducted under the initiative include healthcare services, awareness campaigns, Aadhaar enrolment, issuance of important government documents, and dissemination of various government schemes and programmes for the benefit of the community. Various leaders from different organisations and CSOs also participated in the programme and shared their views, suggestions, and feedback regarding the functioning and implementation of government activities in the district.

The interaction served as a constructive platform for strengthening coordination between the administration and community-based organisations for the overall welfare and development of Shamator District.

The district administration reaffirmed its commitment towards ensuring inclusive governance and strengthening the accessibility of essential services to every section of society, especially those residing in remote and far-flung areas.
