Nagaland Government has declared May 28 (Thursday) a holiday in all the offices of the Government on account of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), instead of May 27 (Wednesday) as notified earlier.
Further, in pursuance of the explanation to Section – 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Acts, 1881 (Act, XXVI of 1881), the Government of Nagaland has declared a public holiday on May 28 (Thursday) on account of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) instead of May 27 (Wednesday) as notified earlier in Annexure-III of the said Notification.

This notification is issued following the Government of India, Ministry of Personnel. Public Grievances & Pensions. Department of Personnel & Training’s OM No. 12/3/2023-JCA dated 22nd May, 2026. shifting the date of holiday of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid).
