Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer has issued an order under the Essential Commodities Act 1955, to all fuel stations in Kiphire District, passing Key directives for fuel stations:

Mandatory Minimum Stock must always keep 2,000 litres Diesel and 1,500 litres Petrol in reserve for emergencies.

No Hoarding/Diversion as Strict action will be taken under Prevention of Black-marketing & Maintenance of Supplies of Essential Commodities Act, 1980 if caught hoarding or illegally diverting fuel. Stock must be sold fairly.

Record Keeping Managers must maintain daily stock registers and submit reports to District Admin when asked.

Public advisory has been given not to engage in panic buying or stockpiling of fuel as adequate stock is available. These measures have been taken as precautionary to ensure smooth and regulated distribution.
