In view of the monsoon preparedness measures, a district-wide mass social work drive was successfully conducted under Meluri District on May 30. The initiative was carried out under the directive of the Deputy Commissioner, Meluri.
Administrative Officers, Heads of Offices, Urban Local Bodies, village authorities, youth organisations, student bodies, and local residents actively participated in the mass social work programme. The drive focused on cleaning drains and public spaces, clearing blocked culverts, and taking preventive measures to mitigate possible monsoon-related risks.

Several areas witnessed enthusiastic community participation as volunteers worked together to improve sanitation and ensure proper water drainage ahead of the rainy season. Officials supervised the activities in their jurisdictions.
