An awareness programme on the environmental issue, organised by the Phek District Administration in collaboration with Nagaland Pollution Control Board was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Phek on June 12.

Deputy Commissioner Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, while speaking at the programme stated that the responsibilities of pollution control is a major subject for which every citizens should improve habit of better waste management system as one’s own responsible job in daily life.

Awareness presentation on Ambient Air Quality & Impact and Solid Waste Management & its responsivities was delivered and highlighted by Rongsenben Longkumer, Junior Scientific Assistant, NPCB and Yanathung Kithan, Scientist ‘B’ NPCB.

Shevohu Nienu, Chairperson, Phek Town Council chaired the programme, while the ADC Phek, Thejakhrienuo Nisa delivered the welcome addressed.
