The training of Supervisors and Enumerators for Census 2027 for Khongsa Block under Pungro Subdivision under Kiphire District officially commenced on June 18 and would go on till June 20 at the Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) Conference Hall, Pungro.

The programme began with a formal introduction of the 6 Supervisors and 27 Enumerators. In his welcome address, EAC Khongsa, Pauding Disuang, NCS remarked that this census will be India’s first fully digital census and that it is being conducted after 17 years. He emphasised on the key role Supervisors and Enumerators plays in realizing the dream of Census 2027. He urged them to maintain integrity and professionalism while collecting data and to co-ordinate and support each other with clarity and integrity.

District Field trainers, Sonal Yimchunger, GT and Throngso Yimchunger, PT summarised on the three crucial points to be focused on during this training sessions such as Introduction, Concept and Theory, and App Practice, while also encouraging them to come forward with any queries to ensure smooth transition of theories into practice.
