DC Chümoukedima invites claims on NH-329A Right of Way

Deputy Commissioner, Chümoukedima has invited claims and objections from individuals whose land falls within the Right of Way (RoW) of the NH-329A (Pimla Junction–Mhainamtsi stretch).

The public notice has been issued by the Deputy Commissioner in compliance with the order of the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, dated June 3, 2026, in connection with PIL No. 1/2024. The Court directed the Deputy Commissioner to identify landowners whose land falls within the highway’s Right of Way, verify any existing claims or disputes, obtain undertakings from landowners, and submit compliance reports before the Court.

Accordingly, all persons claiming ownership or any interest over land falling within the NH-329A alignment from Pimla Junction to Mhainamtsi in Chümoukedima district have been asked to submit their claims or objections to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice.

Claimants are required to provide their name, address and contact details, a description and location of the land, the nature of their claim or interest, copies of supporting documents, and a duly executed undertaking stating whether they intend to claim any rights over the land falling within the Right of Way in the future.

The district administration has advised all concerned landowners and interested persons to submit their documents within the stipulated period. For further information, they may contact the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chümoukedima, during office hours.
