Orientation programme for new recruits (NPSC) Medical Officers was held on July 28 at Conference Hall, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Kohima. The formal induction session was chaired by Dr Menguzenuo Margaret Yhome, Director (Health) and Principal Director, Dr Mereninla Senlem explained the aims and objectives of the induction/orientation program which is mainly to prepare and inform newly recruits the way forward in the service that they will be rendering ahead.

Later during the day, a technical session was conducted covering basic office procedures and conduct that included important topics like general rules, leave rules and admissibility, PIMS, APAR file maintenance etc. which was presented by Kegwachu Tep, Deputy Secretary H&FW.
“Basic account matters” was also presented by Peter Swu, Senior Accounts Officer that covered topics like charge report, pay slip, NPS and increments.
Lastly, presentation from all Program Officers of National Programs which is covered under Directorate, NHM/NSACS/NQAS was highlighted respectively.
