The Department of Higher Education, Nagaland has invited registrations for the Nagaland Government Ex-Gratia Scheme for Students Studying Outside Nagaland (NGESSO) for the academic session 2026–27.

The scheme provides ₹5 lakh ex-gratia assistance to the family in the unfortunate event of the death of an indigenous Naga student from Nagaland pursuing studies outside the State in any part of the country.

To avail the benefit, eligible students are required to register themselves with the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland.

The department informed that fresh and renewal registration forms, along with detailed guidelines and other necessary information, are available for download from the Directorate’s website; https://highereducation.nagaland.gov.in.

The last date for submission of registration forms is September 30, 2026.
