District Planning & Development Board (DPDB), Tuensang held its monthly meeting on August 7 at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang, under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa.
After reviewing the previous month’s meeting minutes, the Chairman thanked all departments, wards, churches, business establishments and students for actively participating in mass social work which was organised in the town. The DC also highlighted brief reports on the disasters due to incessant rainfall across the District, where 197 houses were damaged by landslides, 56 families evacuated, a total cutoff of the National Highway 202, damages of terrace farming, and water supply effected since July 19, 2026.

In the meeting the board also discussed on the work distribution for the coming Independence Day celebration at Tuensang and the Chairman requested to all the departments to actively participate in taking pledge at August 18, 2026 on Nasha Mukti in the District.
