Chief Electoral Officer Nagaland has informed that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll in the State of Nagaland, with October 1, 2026 as the qualifying date, is currently underway. As part of the revision process, various preparatory activities and capacity-building programmes are being conducted across the State to ensure the smooth and successful implementation of the exercise.

SIR Help Desks, staffed by dedicated personnel along with designated helpline numbers, have been established in all District Election Offices to assist the public. The contact details of these Help Desks are available on the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland’s website at https://ceo.nagaland.gov.in. Citizens may also call the toll-free helpline 1950 for information and assistance relating to the SIR.

The Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland has conducted a series of meetings and training programmes for District Election Officers (DEOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), representatives of recognised political parties, and other stakeholders. Similarly, the DEOs have organised meetings and training sessions for EROs, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Booth Level Officer (BLO) Supervisors, BLOs, Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and other stakeholders across their respective districts.

Regular review meetings, interactions, and monitoring of the progress of the SIR will continue at all levels to ensure the effective and timely completion of the revision process.
