BLO kits, T-Shirts and caps distributed for SIR 2026

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, distributed BLO Kits, T-shirts and caps to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for the conduct of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026, at the Chief Electoral Officer’s Conference Hall on August 7.

Delivering the welcome address, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, R Toshimeren Aier, welcomed the participants and said that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are the main functionaries in the electoral process. He stated that the BLO Kits, T-shirts and caps were being distributed to ensure that BLOs remain visible and easily identifiable to the public while carrying out their responsibilities during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, Bhagyashree Banayat, IAS, in her address, described Booth Level Officers (BLOs) as the backbone of the electoral system and acknowledged their dedication towards ensuring an accurate and transparent electoral roll. She also felicitated three BLOs who achieved 100 per cent mapping during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. The awardees were Kiyakhrielie Miari-o, Hindi Teacher, GPS Ziezou, 11-Northern Angami; Venki Livi, Range Assistant, Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, 4-Mima; and Neidamo Leno, JSA, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat.

The programme also included the formal handing over of BLO Kits, T-shirts and caps to the BLOs. Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, Alila Chang, chaired the programme. Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Awa Lorin, delivered the vote of thanks.
