100% Aadhaar-Bank Account Seeding Mandatory for Nagaland Technical Scholarship Applicants

The Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland, has announced that 100% Aadhaar seeding with the bank accounts of beneficiaries will be mandatory for eligible applicants seeking the State Technical Scholarship, following the introduction of the Aadhaar Payment Bridge (APB) under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The department informed students and the general public that the scholarship is available to Scheduled Tribe students of Nagaland pursuing Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Engineering within India, in institutions recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Council of Architecture. Both fresh and renewal applicants are eligible to apply.

According to the Directorate, the online scholarship portal will remain open from October 1 to December 31, 2026.

Students who successfully complete the online application will be required to submit a hard copy of the application to the Directorate of Technical Education by January 22, 2027. The department stated that applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

The Directorate advised eligible students to ensure that their Aadhaar details are properly seeded with their bank accounts to facilitate scholarship payments through the DBT system.
