The temporary bridge over the Dzumha River between Jharnapani and Molvom on the Peren Road has been washed away following incessant rainfall and consequent flooding, prompting authorities to restrict vehicular movement along the affected stretch.

In a traffic advisory issued on Tuesday, the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, said the restriction has been imposed in view of the prevailing conditions and in the interest of public safety.

The movement of all types of vehicles along the affected stretch has been restricted with immediate effect and will remain in force until further notice.
