The staff of District Hospital Kiphire celebrated the 2nd UBA Mungmung Festival 2026 on September 4 with great enthusiasm and unity. The celebration was organized and led by the Sangtam community staff of the hospital.
Dr Chikrozho Kezo, MS, District Hospital Kiphire, graced the occasion as the Special Guest.
The programme began with an invocation by Suli, Chaplain, District Hospital Kiphire, seeking God’s blessings for the celebration and all the staff.
Dr Holiba, Medical Officer, District Hospital Kiphire, spoke about the significance and cultural importance of Mungmung Festival. He highlighted the values of tradition, thanksgiving, community and togetherness represented by the festival.

The celebration featured various traditional and recreational activities, giving the staff an opportunity to come together, enjoy the festive spirit and strengthen their bond as colleagues.
The programme concluded with a traditional feast, bringing the celebration to a joyful and memorable end.
