MY Bharat Kiphire organised the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament (VBY Parliament) 2026–27 Speech Competition in Kiphire, with enthusiastic participation from young people.
Rosy Sangtam, SDO (Civil), Kiphire, attended the programme as special guest. In her address, she encouraged participants to bring creativity, originality and fresh perspectives into their ideas rather than relying entirely on information generated through Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Urging young people to think independently and rise above their dependence on technology, she emphasised that AI should be used as a tool to enhance their abilities and not replace their creativity and critical thinking.
Addressing the participants, Kishore Dulam, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Kiphire, encouraged the young speakers to give their best in every opportunity they received. He said sincere effort, dedication and effective use of time were essential for personal growth and success.

He urged the participants to make the best use of their time and available opportunities so that they would not regret failing to give their best in life.
The competition was evaluated by a panel of jury members comprising Major Lovejot Singh of 30 Assam Rifles, Albert Jingru, Tsosing, Tsarose Sangtam and Pisaliba. The jury members provided feedback and constructive suggestions to participants, helping them identify their strengths and areas for improvement.
Their guidance made the competition a learning experience beyond the pursuit of winning, the organisers stated.
The programme aimed to provide young people with a platform to express their views, strengthen public speaking skills, develop leadership qualities and engage actively in discussions on nation-building.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and prizes.
