A one-day district-level training on the U-Mentor application for MOs, DPM, DCM, BPMs and BACs, along with a District Routine Immunization (RI) Micro plan Review, was convened at the CMO Conference Hall, Longleng, on September 9.

Dr Imtijungshi Aier, DPO (RMNCAH+N), stated that the U-Mentor application is a digital initiative of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, designed to strengthen the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) through real-time monitoring and on-the-job mentorship of frontline health workers.

He said the training focused on leveraging the U-Mentor platform to improve field-level guidance, strengthen programme oversight and supportive supervision, facilitate monitoring and data analysis, enable timely corrective action, and enhance the quality of routine immunization services across the district.

During the RI Microplan Review session, the DPO (RMNCAH+N) highlighted that the primary objectives of the review were to assess current performance, streamline data collection, and identify and address microplanning gaps across all health units. The session also covered inclusive microplanning and formats, accurate head-count surveys, and desk review of RI Microplans.
