The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chumoukedima, has announced the launch of “Reform Utsav,” a nationwide citizen-driven reform initiative aimed at encouraging citizens to actively participate in the reform process and share suggestions for improving public services and essential infrastructure.

According to a circular issued by the Deputy Commissioner, citizens have been invited to submit suggestions, feedback and practical recommendations, particularly in key areas including healthcare, water and sanitation, power supply, education, roads and telecom connectivity.

The initiative also calls on citizens to highlight existing challenges and suggest practical and constructive solutions that could help improve governance and public service delivery.

All government departments, offices, local bodies and concerned stakeholders in Chumoukedima have been directed to create awareness among citizens and encourage maximum public participation. The Reform Utsav will commence from 2nd October 2026, and continue until the end of December 2026.

The Deputy Commissioner, Polan John, NCS, has urged active participation from citizens, stating that their valuable suggestions can help make Reform Utsav 2026 a meaningful platform for improving governance and public services.
