The monthly meeting of the Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), was held under the DPDB Chairman and minister for Rural Development & SIRD, Metsübo Jamir on September 18at the DC’s Conference Hall, Mokokchung.
Presiding the meeting proceedings, DC and Vice-Chairman, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, welcomed the members.
After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the members deliberated on the Nikshay Mitra initiatives under taken by the District Tuberculosis (TB) Office, where community/donors extend support to the TB patients. The meeting discussed to seek more potential donors for the cause due to the increasing TB patients.
The board members also approved the construction of Fire Station at Changtongya Town and forwarded to the concerned department.
DC also highlighted the Reform Utsav 2026, that ensure better governance and delivery of services to the public.

District Horticulture Officer, Dr B Temjenmenla delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the schemes implementation and activities carried out by the department in the district.
The Minister highlighted about the Public Finance Management System (PFMS), and urged the officers to be well-equipped with the knowledge of digital payments and to be well-informed of the government reforms, schemes and protocols. He also encouraged the members to come up with innovative ideas and also to recognised and acknowledged the innovative practices and solutions from the grassroot level.
The Minister advised the officers to make proper utilisation of the government offices and staff quarters.
During the meeting, the minister also launched the toll-free Helpline, initiated by the department of Environment Forests and Climate Change.
